The Adirondack Pastel Society held it's annual ADK National Pastel Exhibition. I was pleased to have one of paintings selected to be in the show. This painting was inspired by a comminssion done in 2016. 

  

"Mary Prays for Us" was inpired by a customer who won a painting.

His love for Mary was all I needed to create a painting just for him.

With the reflections on the lake and the charming image of Grandma and grandaughter, I could not resist capturing the moment.

My grandaughters are a great source for inpiration. My daughter took the picture and I saw it on facebook and was taken with her expression and the dramatic light. 

This family home on Friends Lake, was commissioned for a niece who got married on the property in August. The double hearts in the clouds represent the love the family shared that special day.
