The "Winter Blue" benefit show will soon come to a close...there is still time to purchase a piece from this show and support our "Code Blue" shelter. Fortunately, they are continuing their services as temperatures remain frigid here at night! They still need your help. It continues to be very cold here in the northeast. As always, we know that soon bits of green will start to appear and we will be itching to get our hands dirty and knees to the ground as we start to prepare our garden beds. Winter's End ~ Call to Artists and Benefit Art Exhibit

Next week, March 8th, is Daylight Savings Time.  It will be the beginning of the longer days that will be so welcomed after the  harsh cold winter we have experienced here in the Northeast! Saunders Gallery says goodbye to the Old Man with the "Winter Blue" Invitational Benefit Exhibition and Sale. Works inspired by the word, color, emotion or music related to "BLUE".  Join us, as an artist, collector or supporter of the arts! Half of your entry fee and 20% of sales will go to our local Open Door Mission "Code Blue" cold winter shelter. On Saturday, March 7th, from 10 - 5, the Shirt Factory will host an exciting benefit event  to also raise money for "Code Blue" *See poster image below.  Guest artisan vendors, Music, Raffle baskets and more!  Come out of your igloo and warm up to what is going to be great day at "The Shirt Factory" !

Well, what a year 2014 has been!  I am very pleased with the success and the launch of  Saunders Gallery of Fine Art last year.  I'm looking forward to the gallery line up for 2015!  Starts out with our second hosting of the  show in February.  The Saunders Gallery of Fine Art is proud to present...  The 6th Domestic Violence Awareness Project Gallery Statement This body of work was first exhibited in 2006. It was the initial exhibition as a gallery owner  in my first location in Hoosick Falls, NY.  From the time we presented the work, I knew it would be the inspiration for  an annual event and one that my gallery would advocate for, Throughout the years each show has been a little different,  focusing on a variety of themes. This year we reintroduce the original body of work.  It has an emotional and powerful message that cannot be matched in it's entirety! "Time in a Moment" Recent Works by Photographic Artist ~ Tony Cosentino

"Time in a Moment" ...These current works are assemblies, inspired by the rhythms of natural light as it  played on the colors and textures that in turn evoked emotional memories in me.  Each image is made up of many images assembled to resemble the “ time in the moment “ as I interpreted it… ~Tony Cosentino~ ...Short Biography...           Starting out as a sculptor I later loved print-making, ie: (etching, Lithography, screen printing, linoleum block). I received instruction from: The Center for Music Drama and Art, The New School of Art, R.I.T., and N.C.C.C. The Museum School, as well as many seminars and independent study classes such as, book binding, mold making, casting, film making.          I apprenticed with: Mr. Jack LaDuke, Mrs. Nini Winkle, Mr. Slayton Underhill, and others. Combining these experiences lead me to my vocation as a commercial advertising...

His long career as a successful art educator has landed him with many awards for his outstanding abilities in art education.   As with many artists/teachers, his passion for his art through teaching and creating has also awarded him recognition for his drawing and paintings in many national and regional venues through out central New York and the Southern Vermont Arts Center, as well as solo and group exhibitions throughout the region.
