Morris Kopels of MK Rustics, is the featured artist, during the month of June.  His one of kind original Adirondack style funiture is expertly crafted and designed.  Morris is a Glens Falls Hospital ER Doctor, who's passion lies in the spirit of natural wood. His designs are completely orignal and inspired by his great love of the outdoors here in the Adirondack region of upstate New York.  See more at his website link here... https://mkrustics.com   Can't afford a large peice? Take home a trio of votive candles made out of white birch or the goldon sheen of yellow burch.  Some designs are completely organic, giving a more contemporary design to the rustic genre.  Mirrors, side tables, coatracks & lamps are just a sample of what Morris is inspired to do. "Sounds of Silence" Mental Health/Depression

Image
The Saunders Gallery is proud to present a community driven exhibition,  giving voice to an illness that is not clearly defined or understood. This exhibit and project has been created by the inspiration of a friend named Jim. Jim found himself battling an uncertain illness, depression.  By the Grace of GOD, Jim found peace, by finding the right place for diagnosis, treatment and healing. This life changing experience sent a call to action for him to share his experience by commissioning a painting depicting his emotional battle with depression, with the intent of helping just one other person in their flight with depression. The pastel painting by Bev Saunders, is the feature for this exhibit. The painting was created by the use of several inspiring photos and images that Jim had shared relating to his feelings and emotions. The painting depicts a “being”, lost and detached from the world, feeling helpless and obscure. The hands of the Saving Grace that are always ther...

Celebration of Art and Life ~ Patti Turi

This month we celebrate a life dear to our community here in Glens Falls and North.  Patti fought a cancer for a long time and was taken by Mesothelioma...her friends and family organized this exhibit in hopes of raising awareness and money, through the sale of her photographs, art and art from friends who have contributed to the exhibit.  All sales benefit "Kayaks for Meso" , a grassroots organization that has grown significantly in the past few years, located in the Albany, NY region. Join us in this benefit by going to the sight link above and donating or stopping by now through April 30, to purchase Patti's beautiful nature photographs or an original art quilt.    Coming in MAY, 2017 "Sounds of Silence" Mental Health/Depression Awareness Project An exhibition of Art and Poetry

9th Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Project

Image
Once again this time of year,  I continue to advocate for this cause of awarenenss of the devastating affects of violence in the home and anywhere, for that matter. Anger, devision, lack of empathy and compassion, continue to surface in our own communities. People stay silent, in fear and controlled by their own demons of powerelessness. When in our lives, did we lose our god given spirit and power that would allow us to tolorate this. Whether as a victim or a bystander. When will we recognize, the true spirit we came into this world with and activate the power within.  Join us in finding it with this powerful exhibtion that reaches the soul of emotion.   Works by Pam Barker and the girls of  The Charlton School   http://www.thecharltonschool.org/
